Our "Roots"

THANK YOU to ALL Green Room families for bringing in the Nature Bags. All of the friends loved getting to share with one another what they found last week. On Tuesday we opened up the bags again to re-explore our materials, and to make collages. (Our 2 friends that do not come to school on Tuesdays will have the opportunity to do this on Friday morning, which is after press time).

It was interesting to see how each individual explored the project differently. Gavi enjoyed removing things one by one, and explaining what he liked. Luke enjoyed dumping the sand straight from the bag into the glue. Ava was very selective, and chose each thing with purpose.

The best part about art is that there is no wrong way to create it!  On Wednesday we had our incredible CJP Grandparent's Day. It was such a special event, and we're grateful to all of the grandparents who were able to attend from near and far.

As we celebrated Tu B'Shvat this week, we talked a lot about trees and all that they selflessly give us. Just as trees have roots that connect them to where they belong, our grandparents are our roots that tie us to where we come from. Grandparents are an integral part of what makes us who we are. A day like this past Wednesday will remain in the memories and in the hearts of our children forever.

We hope that you have a wonderful Shabbat and weekend.
-Morah Deena and Morah Gitty
