Our first week of CJPK!

Welcome back to Chandler Jewish Preschool and Kindergarten,

It has been a week of new beginnings and transitions. We are happy to have your child in the Green Room. We met with each child this week and they were able to explore creating a letter in their name to begin creating our classroom alphabet.

This week the children are getting acquainted with our environment and growing independence within our classroom. Morah Briele worked with Morah Devora to teach her our davening songs and celebrations and we ended our week on Friday with Shabbat Sing-A-Long and Shabbat Party.

The children are learning Grace and Courtesy Lessons: How to Enter the Classroom, How to Store their clothing, backbacks and lunches, How to sign in, How to Carry a Chair, Pouring, Restroom and Washing Practices, How to Undress, Dress Themselves, shoes, socks and all. These skills are lifelong and we appreciate the foundations they have brought from home to build on at CJP. We love your children and enjoy seeing the happy reunions as they come together as we get to know them.

We are singing the ABC Song, Days of the Week along with Yadam lemaala al harosh, al haktefaim achad staim shaloch. We are counting to twelve in Hebrew, English and Spanish.

The daily outdoor and water play is a fun time to observe the children interacting with one another.
We see Hammond takes great care with his sister Hailey. Mason, Morgan and Gavi are refining their movement skills using the bicycles often. Levi, Alice, Tzippi, gain strength as they climb the play structures. Zoe, Jemma and Ava enjoy being in the water. Sarah was baking cakes while Tzippi and Ava made mud pies.

We missed our friend Ari, who isn't feeling well! We hope you are feeling better for next week!

Thank you for entrusting us with your children and navigating the first week of school together.
Looking forward to many more wonderful weeks ahead!

Please see the private CJP Family Facebook Group for pictures of our week!
